joining us this morning is dr. k en red cross. tell us a a bit about the information you have. >> i wanted to talk to moms about becoming pregnancy ready. infertility
affects 7 million people every year. that is one in six couples. i want talk about a few things. i talk about the importance of the diet, because we don't a diet high in trans fats in, hydrates makes it harder to get pregnant.
i like to swap out more plant based proteins in beans and nuts . starting off with a healthy diet to get pregnant in the first place. once maybe that is achieved, how is zka playing a role? >> it does not cause infertility
directly. it causes you to put your family off. the zika virus can live in the sperm for two to three months. we saw zika was coming up from brazil. is this impacting women being able to get pregnant or
impacting the pregnancy itself? it is not impacting the ability to get pregnant but is something we have to put in our minds that we never used to think about as far as environmental issues that may be contributing to putting the family off.
when we talk about environmental things, it is the diet and the environment and talking about making sure you have vitamin supplementation. we're understanding a lot of vitamin deficiencies are an issue. i love this system called
fruitful way. i like this system because they make i dummy proof. the one for the man says him. the one for the couple says couple. it's a leverage technology. they have an app that allows the man to get int into the
ovulation window of the woman. he can know that this is going to be a good day. maybe i should put on a little george michael. do something romantic. bring in roses. i love anything that improves the romance.
